Port J. Parker

Mr. Parker graduated with honors in 1992 from Northern Arizona University with B.S.B.A. in Finance, and from McGeorge School of Law in 1995, where he was the Archie Memorial Scholarship recipient, received National Moot Court Competition and Trial Advocacy Honors, as well as a member of the National Moot Court Honors Board. Before graduating, Mr. Parker had clerkships in both the public and private sectors, including a year and a half clerkship with the California Attorney General’s office in their Business and Tax Division.

Mr. Parker joined the firm formerly known as the Freidberg Law Corporation in 1996 after spending approximately a year in Arthur Anderson and Co.’s staff attorney division, where he specialized in business and tax matters. Since joining the firm he has successfully contributed to, litigated, arbitrated or tried a myriad of complex business, tort and commercial cases, with settlements and/or verdicts currently exceeding over $11 million. Mr. Parker has also successfully defended and received a number of favorable verdicts and/or settlements on behalf of a diverse group of clients and causes, including indigents, individuals, companies, partnerships, corporations, attorneys, contractors, brokers and other professionals. Over the years, Mr. Parker has also litigated civil appeals at both the state and federal level. In June of 2003, he became a named principal of the present firm, Freidberg and Parker.

Mr. Parker is admitted to practice in all California courts, as well as in the Eastern and Northern Districts of the United States District Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the Association of Trial Lawyers Of America, California Bar Association, Sacramento County Bar Association, Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity and Pacific International Law Society. Mr. Parker also participates in the Voluntary Legal Services Program of Sacramento.
